Qatari industrial producer prices rise 6.6% in July, supported by oil and gas

The industrial producer price index in Qatar rose during the month of July by 6.6% on a monthly basis, supported by the improvement in the prices of mining sector products.

According to the Qatar Planning and Statistics Authority, the mining sector recorded a 6.9% increase last month on a monthly basis, supported by the rise in the prices of the crude oil and natural gas group.

Last July, the manufacturing sector recorded a 6% increase as a result of the rise in the prices of six groups, led by petroleum refining products by 7.2%, and the basic metals group by 6.2%.

The electricity and water sector index recorded a decrease of 0.9% last month, as a result of a decline in the water price group by 1.5% and electricity by 0.4%.
