Oman’s aviation fuel production and sales decline in the first half of 2021

Oman witnessed a decline in the volume of its production and sales of jet fuel during the first half of this year 2021, while the volume of its exports of it increased, on an annual basis

Data from the National Center for Statistics and Information showed that Oman's production of jet fuel declined during the first half of the year by 29.92 percent, to 3.122 million barrels, compared to 4.455 million barrels in the first half of last year.

Oman's sales of jet fuel also declined during the first half of the year, by 90.51 percent, to 638.7 thousand barrels, on an annual basis, compared to 6.728 million barrels, in the first half of last year.

While the volume of Oman's exports of jet fuel during the first half of the year increased by 25.78 percent, to 11.351 million barrels.

Oman's production of "diesel" gas oil rose during the first half of the year by 14.65 percent, on an annual basis, to 18.014 million barrels, and its sales volume in the first half of the year also increased, 459.08 percent, to 6.654 million barrels.

The volume of Oman's exports of "diesel" in the first half of the year decreased by 25.21 percent, to 2.458 million barrels, compared to about 3.287 million barrels in the first half of last year.

Oman witnessed a decline in the volume of its production, sales and exports of jet fuel during 2020, and its production and exports of diesel gas oil increased during the year.
